Industrial side streams (wastewater, process streams,...) can contain toxic, non-biodegradable and/or persistent components. Due to these organics, metals, high solvent concentration,... a treatment in a traditional biological treatment is not possible. The current solution is often transport and incineration. We from InOpSys are convinced this should change.

Pharmaceuticals are considered as an emerging environmental problem due to their persitence to the aquatic ecosystem even at low concentrations. InOpSys has developed treatment and specific analysis methods for wastewater containing:

We realize a removal of the API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) out of the water according to required discharge limits.

Textile Industry - Azo Dyes
The discharge of highly coloured synthetic dye effluents into inland and coastal waters is an environmental problem of growing concern. The Azo synthetic dyes are extensively used in textile, paper printing, photography, pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics and other industries. Approximately, 10,000 different dyes and pigments are used industrially and over 0.7 million tons of synthetic dyes are produced worldwide.
Azo dyes consist of diazotised amine coupled to an amine or a phenol and contain one or more azo linkages.
We develop on-site, sustainable solutions for these different industries. Aim is to purify the water and to recover valuable materials (metals, solvents,...).
