about

why we do what we do.

Chemistry is the core of the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. These industries produce life changing and life-saving products. To become these products, complex side streams are generated during the processes. These streams, containing a mixture of toxic organics, metals, and APIs, are not just easy to process. Unfortunately, linear destruction is a common way of processing, for example, transport for incineration is considered the best available technology at this time. And that’s where Inopsys will make a difference.

The fact is that all these flows could be recycled. Imagine; we are facing global water scarcity, and yet streams are integrally burned and wasted, in a polluting way besides. All this, while both the water and the contained valuable elements can be recovered. So, our commitment is to ensure that side streams no longer get regarded as waste, but as a product that deserves a new life.

Our mission is to make the development of sustainable solutions for side stream challenges accessible and applicable in such a way that the choice for circular side stream treatment becomes an obvious option. We believe in circular chemistry for a better world.

For our clients, we are committed to transparency, reliability end of course comprehensive service. As a team, we value innovation, optimism, and personal development.

Jan is CFO of Inopsys and so, the great financial wonder in Inopsys’ management since June 2021. As he says himself, finance is his passion and we can only confirm that! We even suspect that the monthly reports hang above his bed.

His story started in South Africa, where Jan was born. Ever since he lived in several places like the United States, Paris, Scotland, Germany and Switzerland. The time spent in Belgium, he spent very well by getting his Master degree in Business Economics and Master after master in Finance & Tax, both at the University of Antwerp. He worked for more than 25 years in different finance positions in international companies like Ricoh, Sumitomo, Bakkavör Foods and Alken-Maes. Besides being a man of the (financial) world, Jan is also a man of sports. So he likes hiking or skiing in the mountains on a vacation, and training his run-, bike- ànd swim skills to achieve a half triathlon.
