Your Role

As an Experienced Process Engineer, you play a pivotal role in designing advanced modular treatment systems for challenging industrial wastewater. You will focus on the engineering, functional analysis, and safety review of processes involving:

• Sand filtration
• Ion exchange (IX)
• Ultrafiltration (UF)
• Reverse osmosis (RO)
• Ozonation
• (Heavy) metal recovery/removal
• Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) removal

You will translate complex treatment goals into clear and executable designs, bridging concept and reality from PFD to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and development of PFDs and P&IDs for water and solvent treatment systems
• Draft and maintain detailed process descriptions, mass and energy balances
• Lead Functional Analyses (FA) and support automation specification
• Conduct and participate in HAZOP sessions and risk assessments
• Define technical specifications for key components (e.g., pumps, valves, instruments)
• Provide input for procurement, equipment selection, and contractor packages
• Work closely with project teams from design through commissioning

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in process design, preferably in water or chemical treatment
• Proven experience with designing complex installations using technologies such as RO, IX, UF, and ozonation
• Knowledge of HAZOP methodology and functional safety
• Proficient in engineering tools such as AutoCAD Plant P&ID, Aspen, or equivalent
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Fluent in English
